Property description

Be quick to grab this little gem in the village of Chartham. We really don’t think that it will be around for long and it really would make a fabulous first time buy for someone.

There are lots of nice things on offer here! The house has a lovely layout and is full of character and charm with wooden floors throughout most of the property and a wood burning stove in the lounge.

It is a great advantage having a separate lounge and dining room. It allows for the lounge to really be used as a space for relaxing in, whilst the dining room has the kitchen leading off of it which creates a wonderful space for socialising and entertaining. The bathroom is located on the first floor and there is a nice large mature rear garden with fruit trees and a large greenhouse.

The village of Chartham is a lovely place to live as there are lots of facilities here and it is very close to Canterbury. The centre of the village is very quaint with a lovely village green, historic church and village hall. Chartham has its own train station that runs into Canterbury and also a beautiful scenic cycle path which connects Chartham to Canterbury City centre. Shalmsford Street has 2 local shops, one of which is also a post office and a good local primary school.

Put this house at the top of your viewing list.

What the Owner says:

I’d pretty much decided before I came to view this house that I was going to buy it! I fell in love with it instantly, viewing it was a mere formality! I was not disappointed when I got here. I love older properties and really enjoy being within the countriside. I could see there was lots of potential to bring out the original features – I particularly love the wood burning stove and the garden. I really do love the entire house – I find it so calming and relaxing and love coming home here at the end of the day. It really has been a haven for me. Since living here I have made quite a lot of improvements including replacing the bathroom about two years ago. I enjoy living in Chartham, it has both the convenience of a town and the advantages of being surrounded by countryside.
