Property description

If you have always wanted that picture perfect period cottage then we have the property for you. Set back from the road with its splendid white weather boarding and bright red door it really does have curb appeal. To the front of the cottage you have a hedge that makes it secluded from the road with a good size drive with parking for several cars and a garage; perfect for the family with more than one car. You cannot fail to be impressed with this home as it sets the scene for this idyllic country lifestyle. The gardens are to the front and side with mature trees and pretty cottage garden plants which in the summer months will give a wonderful view of colour, this really is a place where you can relax and enjoy your surroundings.

The home is believed to date from the 1700's and is steeped in history with wonderful period features including an inglenook fireplace and exposed beams that add further character to this cottage. The layout really works well with an open plan lounge and dinning room, great for a family who enjoy entertaining. The kitchen/breakfast room is designed for someone who loves to cook with its farmhouse styles units and exposed beams creating the ideal ambience for home baking.

Outside there is a very useful office complete with separate toilet. The town of Tenterden is only a 10 minute drive and has such a wonderful High Street with many restaurants and shops; the perfect place to have a wander!

What the Owner says:

I bought this house from the view over the hedge; I knew I had to have it.
It needed a lot of work to bring it up to the standard you see today, it even had bushes growing out of the fireplace! Since being here we have added the extension which has increased the size of the kitchen and added an extra bedroom.
The location has worked really well too as its on route to Ashford and Headcorn which both have mainline train stations to London and the coast, with easy access to the M20. The village has a good local school, general store and pub.
