Property description
This pretty "chocolate box" cottage enjoys an idyllic position in the little village of Stanford. With sheep fields, views of the church and even a meandering stream at the bottom of the garden, this home epitomises country life. It is really easy to picture yourselves strolling through the fields after having a picnic up at the woods.
During the colder months, leave your boots in the porch before seeking the warmth from the crackling fire in the lounge. Venturing forth, you will discover the real hub of this home. The kitchen area opens into the a large dining area, that boasts a vaulted ceiling which fills this room with light. This is the perfect place to entertain friends and family when they come to visit or just to cook a meal for the kids whilst you help with their homework.
Visitors will love to come and stay in the guest bedroom/bedroom 2 as, not only does it too boast a vaulted ceiling, it has a log burner and an en-suite bathroom. Alternatively, it could make a wonderful master bedroom.
This home offers a lovely English country style garden complete with vegetable plot and greenhouse, which will help your plants bloom. There is a lawned area where the kids can play football and a lovely conservatory where you can sit and watch them play, or just sit in and enjoy your surroundings all year round. This is also a good place to relax and listen to the pitter-patter of the rain drops on wet days.
What the Owner says:
We were not specifically looking for a period house when we started looking for a family home. After viewing this home for the first time, we were simply bowled over as it was larger than we were expecting and had many great features.
The location for us was great as my husband commutes and the station is handy for him to travel by train. It is also handy for us if we want to pop into London to go shopping or sightseeing, as it is about an hour away by train.
The village has a great sense of community and we have really friendly neighbours. We hope whoever buys our home will be as happy as we have been.
