Property description
Situated on a corner plot and set back from the road in one of Shanklin’s most sought after locations stands this beautiful bungalow.
From the moment you step inside the front door you are welcomed by the overall feeling of space and light and airiness throughout. The impressively spacious lounge/diner has a wonderful outlook across the roof tops of the neighbours’ bungalows straight across to the tree lined Victoria Avenue and woodland beyond. The lounge also has french doors which lead out onto the sunny decking where you can see the rolling hills in the distance. If you did want a bit more space for you and your family the roof space is crying out for a loft conversion and even the integral garage could double up as another room; all subject to relevant planning permission of course.
The garden is beautiful as it backs onto woodland. Rest assured you will definitely get the odd visit from the friendly neighbourhood squirrels that frequently pop in and out of the garden.
The location is quiet yet is only a short stroll away from all that Shanklin has to offer. The town, the famous Old Village and the beautifully sandy beaches await you. There are also countryside walks not too far away from your front door so you can sample some of the island’s beautifully green countryside and woodland trails. With all this and other amenities close to your from door you are simply in one of Shanklin’s best locations.
What the Owner says:
When we were searching for properties over twenty years ago we were looking for something central yet quiet, we certainly struck gold when we came across this bungalow. Although it needed updating inside we instantly fell in love with the location as it was exactly what we were looking for; the perfect place to bring up our children. We have enjoyed every minute here and over the last twenty years have spent a lot of time and money on making it our own. We have updated the heating system, replaced the windows, upgraded the kitchen and bathroom and generally decorated throughout. However, with our children now at university we are looking for something a little smaller, but we’re sure the new owners will enjoy their new home.
