Property description
The property comprises a well appointed character cottage with a lounge, bathroom and kitchen on the ground floor and two bedrooms up over.
The property is situated within the popular village of Lanreath, which is 2½ miles distant from Pelynt and 6 miles to the well known fishing and holiday town of Looe. Lanreath village has limited facilities but includes a shop, Rally Social Club and an attractive parish church. The popular fishing and holiday town of Looe has a more extensive array of facilities including secondary education, a reasonably good town centre and of course having the advantage of being a popular centre for those people with aquatic and sailing pursuits.
The city of Plymouth, which is approximately 20 miles distance and the principal retail centre to the west of Exeter, offers a much wider range of amenities including a continental ferry port, good shopping centre and access to the motorway network beyond the Devon Expressway.
Sporting facilities in the area are numerous. There is a sports centre in Liskeard with squash, badminton and tennis courts, indoor bowls, indoor heated swimming pool, gymnasium etc. There is a golf course at Bindown, near Looe and at the internationally renowned golf course at St Mellion with its two 18 hole courses. As previously mentioned, boating and sea fishing and other water sports are available along with the safe beaches all along South Cornish coast. Salmon and Trout fishing are available on local rivers by joining the local Angling Club.
