Property description
Proudly standing in one of the most popular parts of Folkestone this 1930s home is not only attractive due to its period nature but convenient, practical and truly a rare find. This is the type of house you fall for before even walking through the front door. However, if the outside doesn’t quite give you that feeling, once inside you should be head over heels. A welcoming hall awaits complete with a cloakroom which these days is more a necessity than a luxury saving children and guests the need to go upstairs. Blending in a contemporary feel/layout the kitchen and dining area have been opened up creating a very special environment. Flooded with light and with a very social atmosphere the two areas still keep their own identity where you can be cooking up a family meal whilst watching over the children doing their homework and on a cold winter’s night with the log burner lit meal times couldn’t have a better place. When it comes to relaxing the lounge really is the perfect place; spacious enough to cater for the whole family, evenings in front of the telly will be the perfect way to end the day. Continuing the relaxing theme the bathroom, with its modern appearance has a very tranquil feel where you could be forgiven for wallowing in the bath for a little too long. Three bedrooms provide the sleeping arrangements, all a very good size, keeping everyone happy. Outside, a lawned garden with large decked area enjoys plenty of sunshine with children play, pets can roam and adult can enjoy the odd BBQ.
What the Owner says:
We have made lots of changes to our home since living here to suit our high standards and our needs. We have opened up the kitchen and dining area creating what we feel is a fantastic entertaining space and quite easily the part of the house we probably spend the most time in. We have also updated the bathroom and re decorated throughout just to name but a few things. Cheriton is a fabulous place to live and we have lived locally for many years. Everything you need is on your door step with the High Street offering all the amenities you could possibly need. Furthermore, having the station nearby makes commuting to London very simple or for that matter just going down for the day for a spot of shopping or to watch a show.
