Property description
Picture yourself sinking into a comfy sofa in front of the flickering flames of the warm glowing fire of the open fireplace in your cosy cottage lounge - very welcoming when you finish a day at work and lovely to come home to after a country ramble. This character home is set within the heart of the East Malling conservation area. It is easy to access the pretty countryside that is on your doorstep.
Topping the wish list of many a home buyer is this property’s fabulous sized kitchen/ family room, one that would rival any other for the money. It is perfect for today’s lifestyle, making a great space for bringing the family together and for entertaining. You can comfortably seat friends and family, chat as you prepare a meal or a snack - a wonderfully practical and sociable room. All three double bedrooms are separately accessed from the landing (unlike some period homes), and you also have the convenience of both an upstairs and downstairs toilet, which is perfect if you have children or any guests that come calling.
The garden is a real gem, well stocked and nicely secluded, so you really feel away from it all as you relax with a drink in hand, and watch the water of the small sparkling stream as it passes through the garden. A wonderful summer house with light, power and decking completes this enticing garden, making it a wonderful outdoor entertaining space.
What the Owner says:
When moving to this area, we knew this house was “the one” as soon as we stepped through the door - lots of character and period charm, together with a homely and welcoming feel.
We love the location here, where summer fetes, live music on the green and the picture perfect stone St James’ Church form part of the village scene. We will really miss the friendly community feel, our great neighbours, and the convenience of a 2 minute walk to the lovely village pub, excellent Indian restaurant & the mainline station, making trips into West Malling (with its restaurants, craft shops and a monthly farmers market) and further afield so very easy.
