Glastonbury a small but thriving town and a major tourist venue as is Wells which is the smallest city in England (population 10,000). Both are important historic centres each with its own individual character. whilst Street is again an ancient settlement now well know for its shopping centres.Glastonbury and Street are home to Millfield School and both the senior school and the Prep are in a very short drive of Whitegates. There are also other excellent state and independent schools in the area including St Dunstans, Strode College, Wells Cathedral School, Downside, All Hallows and the Bruton schools. Within the area generally are a huge variety of facilities and amenities for most cultural and sporting activities.

Situation
Whitegates has access from Newtown Lane which is well away from any busy road. Electric gates give access to the drive which leads into the property and to a large gravelled parking area beyond the house and in front of the garage. The house is a handsome and striking building with a very marked colonial style with covered verandahs and timber decking, cladded elevations and gabled windows. Internally it's enormously attractive and appealing with large windows flooding the rooms with light and sunshine.

Accomodation
Whitegates is well designed and the heart and centre of the house is a large reception hall which leads independently to all the rooms. There are 4 separate reception rooms, a 28 ft.super kitchen & breakfast room, a cloakroom and a utility room.
