Property description
A charming 18th Century home located down a country lane, whereby its charm is complemented so well with its good sized rooms and the accommodation on offer here.
The home has very individual aspects, including a wonderful vaulted ceiling in the master bedroom with exposed beams and arched windows giving that unique feeling of character & charm.
The main lounge leads you through to the kitchen which works well with the separate dining room – overall these work very well for family use and for social and entertaining purposes. With four bedrooms which can be accessed via two separate staircases, there is also a dressing room, en-suite and family bathroom on the first floor.
Any home welcomes a utility room and the downstairs cloakroom that also offers a shower cubicle too.
To the front there is space available for parking and at the rear, there is a walled garden which offers privacy and easy-to-maintain areas.
Set in a countryside location, the views are always welcome whatever time of the day incorporating this into a tranquil and lovely lifestyle on offer here.
If you want anything else, next door could be available to purchase; you could use that as an extension, a holiday let or even an annexe. It has an interlocking door because our owners own both properties. There is also a possibility of purchasing a further garden area that includes a former tennis court, two substantial chalets and a solar panel array that provides an income for the current owners. Please ask us for further details.
What the Owner says:
The cottage is deceptively spacious and has plenty of natural light. It is also often described as a “Tardis” as the interior provides plenty of accommodation for family and guests.
Located on the edge of Wootton, the cottage is in the country but close to village amenities and bus routes to Ryde and Newport – a handy plus to keep the school run to a minimum!
This has been a wonderful family home. We still love the property but as years go by, we think a bungalow beckons.
