Property description
You can be in London in less than an hour from this truly luxurious penthouse apartment on the seafront in Hythe so, whether you are looking for a fabulous weekend retreat or a permanent home, this duplex could be the answer. Although originally built in the 1970s the apartment has been lovingly refurbished to the highest standard including oak doors, trendy bathrooms and a stunning kitchen. There is even a built-in stereo system and phased lighting so you can choose the appropriate ambience to suit your mood. With four to five bedrooms, three bathrooms, two reception rooms, balconies and a roof terrace there is plenty of room for family and friends to enjoy everything this stunning penthouse has to offer. It could be the views across to France with the lights of Cap Gris Nez twinkling in the distance or the moon reflecting on the sea when you are sitting in the enclosed balcony. Maybe it is feeling on top of the world as you look at Hythe and the surrounding area laid out before you from the master bedroom suite. If you enjoy having guests this place is designed for entertaining. From the moment you walk in to the delightful sitting room and look at the view you know you are somewhere special but, when you climb the spiral staircase and see the kitchen and dining room, you will be truly hooked. The sea views are even more spectacular and the facilities in the kitchen will delight any cook and include a built-in oven and microwave as well as an induction hob, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. You can wander on to the roof terrace that is just waiting for you to host a barbecue and film buffs can watch the latest blockbuster in the nearby bedroom that has been converted to a cinema room/lounge. To the outside, there are large manicured green spaces for walkers and pets alike.
What the Owner says:
It was the views and the space that drew me to it initially and the feeling that you will never be overlooked as well as the security aspect. With video phone entry and an underground car park as well as a very useful handyman who looks after many of the apartments when owners are absent, no one worries about leaving their flat unattended. However, my penthouse is a little large for me now so I hope another family will be able to enjoy it as much as I have. The historic Cinque Port town of Hythe is charming and friendly and there is nothing nicer than walking down to the town centre on a sunny morning and sitting at a pavement café, meeting friends and enjoying a coffee or visiting some of the individual shops, bars or restaurants. The beach is literally on the doorstep and the nearby historic Military Canal provides wonderful walks and cycle rides along the canal path as well as being the venue for the famous bi-annual Hythe Venetian Fete. The Imperial Hotel, fitness and spa are within a short walking distance of the property and it also has a golf course and swimming pool. For the keen golfer, there is the Henry Cotton designed Sene Valley Golf course.
