While it will be a wrench to leave somewhere where we have spent so many happy years we feel it is time to make a move. Over the years I have enjoyed sensitively upgrading the property. This includes recently installing a new kitchen and bathrooms while many of the features, I personally created to make our home unique. It is an ideal place for entertaining and we enjoy hosting barbecues in the decked garden all summer long. We have always loved the community spirit engendered by the local residents. In the summer we have monthly ‘gardening days’ where people who live in the square tend the communal garden and end the day with a few drinks and a barbecue. The views are special and, on a clear day, we see France. We have even enjoyed the fireworks on Bastille Day! The house is also very central for the town. We can walk to Waitrose and it is not far from the pubs and restaurants along Harbour Parade and Main Sands for a day on the beach with the children. I have to go to London on a regular basis and the high-speed train from Ramsgate is extremely useful and can whisk me to London in under an hour-and-a-quarter.
