Property description
Incredibly spacious and with wonderful far reaching views of the Ashdown forest and beyond, there is so much about this marvelous family home that will appeal. From the moment you enter, you’re immediately impressed by the huge study and size of the many reception rooms including a magnificent conservatory with its double central heating radiators and electric roof windows. Under floor heating allows year round use of an area usually only habitable in the summer months. A large open fireplace in the lounge adds to a strong homely feel. Upstairs you’re greeted by large rooms all with built in wardrobes and the master suite is a real delight offering yet more high quality touches such as air conditioning and a wonderful double shower. This is surpassed only by the family bathroom with its multi jet shower system that doubles as a steam room producing a soothing eucalyptus vapour for when you feel the need to indulge yourself! In addition to the meticulous internal space and landscaped grounds, a large driveway leads to a sizeable double garage giving the new owner an opportunity to add yet more rooms to the already generous floor space. With planning permission to convert the roof space into a guest bedroom with a hallway to link to the main house, family members or friends who wish to stay could have their own private area to enjoy. Overall, there is so much to commend here and it simply has to be viewed to be fully appreciated. An easy recommendation and one not to be missed!
What the Owner says:
The views here are certainly one of the many reasons why we fell in love with this house as you can see for miles right out to Ashdown Forest and beyond, and from almost every room! The moment we walked inside we loved the feeling of the house with its large living areas and study which all feel very private. We love the conservatory and we spend a lot of our time there enjoying the views of the garden.
The large detached double garage has been really useful and there is planning permission to convert the loft area and make a bedroom with a walk through to the main house which would make a fantastic guest wing. This is the perfect village retreat, in fact you get the best of both worlds.
