Property description

It's easy to see why people flock to Brockham in an attempt to purchase a piece of family living. From the award winning butchers to the famous fireworks, Brockham is certainly on the map. No wonder the current owners snapped up the chance to live here over 22 years ago and have found it ideal for family life with a great community atmosphere. Having been extended, you can instantly see how the layout of this house is perfect for family living. Enjoy dinners round the table overlooking the garden or cosy up on the sofa in front of the wood burner in the sitting area. Either way, the open plan design means you can all be together as a family. Even the chef can socialise with everyone whilst rustling up something special to eat. If you find yourself wanting some quiet time, the separate lounge at the front is ideal and you can throw a few logs on the fire as you relax in style. If you find yourself with a house full, you needn't worry as there is plenty of room upstairs for a growing family and there is also the incredibly handy bonus of a shower room as well as a bathroom which should mean no fighting for the shower first thing in the morning! When the warmer weather arrives, you can throw open the doors onto the garden and enjoy plenty of outside space. Whether it's a barbecue on the patio or just pottering and tending the plants, the garden is a great size for a family and would certainly accommodate a trampoline for the kids! Despite the village location, commuting into London is also possible.

What the Owner says:

We moved to Brockham from London and remember being immediately drawn to how safe the village felt. We instantly fell in love with the area and could imagine bringing up our family here. Over the years, we have completely transformed the house but without doubt, the kitchen extension was the best thing we did, it also meant we could add the downstairs shower room and utility area. We have replaced the boiler, the windows and redecorated. We also boarded and carpeted the loft. We took the garage down as we had plans to apply for permission for a side extension, but then all the kids flew the nest so we realised we didn't need the extra space anymore. This prompted us to finally take the plunge and try to downsize instead!
