Property description

This character cottage over-looks the village green and is in the popular rural village of Beare Green. Pull up onto your own driveway or in front of the house where there is plenty of parking for several cars and take in the beautiful surroundings.

Once inside you will be amazed at the amount of space on offer. If you love entertaining then the open plan lounge and dining area give you the space to do so in style. The feature spiral staircase in the centre of the room and the hardwood flooring brings out a modern yet warm feeling in here. If you enjoy cooking for guests then the bright spacious kitchen area is just the place to cook up a storm and with it opening to the dining area the chef of the house can join in the conversation whilst keeping an eye on the cooking.

If guests want to stay the night there is plenty of room upstairs for them to do so and with a handy loft room on the second floor you could easily use this as a home office.

Outside there is also a great size work room which has power and light so could be used as a home office/play room or store too. Once the warmer weather arrives there is plenty of space in the garden to relax on a lounger or fire up the barbecue. The location is ideal for the walking/cycling or riding enthusiast with plenty of countryside on your doorstep.

What the Owner says:

I grew up living on the green and chose to move back to raise my own family. I have loved having the green at the front of the house, it has been a wonderful playground for my children. There is a tremendous community spirit between the cottages, the neighbours are great and we all get on well. Most of them have lived here for many years and this reflects on the character of the cottages. I love having immediate access to miles of beautiful walks and I use the footpath opposite to walk the dogs and just a walk across the green is The Weald Primary School. With fantastic open countryside all around, it is a very special relaxed place to live. My children are now grown up so it's now time for somebody else to enjoy this lovely home.
