Property description
The village of High Halden is a wonderful village which offers a real sense of village community with a vast selection of social clubs to join if you wish. High Halden is situated between Ashford, which offers a mainline Train station to London and the continent and has all the shopping facilities you will need. You also have the jewel of the Weald, Tenterden, with its tree lined High Street. If you have never been to Tenterden it will be a real treat with its vast selections of bespoke restaurants, shops, and pubs all at your disposal.
This is a period end of terraced cottage believed to date back to 1860s and is set back from the road with a tarmac front garden that the present owner uses as a parking space. The cottage is decorated in a neutral theme giving the feeling of light and space. The lounge has an impressive open fireplace and exposed beams overhead giving wonderful character to the room. The dining area is open plan to the lounge giving the feeling of extra space.
The kitchen is just splendid with country cottage units and work surfaces giving that farmhouse feel, with access to the garden. Upstairs you have great sized double bedroom, a large single and family bathroom . Outside the rear garden is something to be proud of with well stocked borders full of fabulous plants and shrubs giving the garden a wonderful look of colour and scent, making it the perfect place to relax through the summer months.
What the Owner says:
For me living here has been all about the location. There is a bus stop nearby so if you wanted a day out without the hassle of parking then it's very handy.
Within the village itself the local church, school and general store are all on your doorstep, great if you've run out of milk for your morning coffee! The public house is a lovely place to enjoy a drink and a wonderful home cooked meal to treat yourself after a hard week at work.
The garden has been a huge labour of love for me and I am very proud of the end result, it's one of my favourite places to sit and relax.
