Eleven contented years. Loving the light, proportionate rooms, sitting in the bay seat, opening the sashes, looking over the playing fields, watching the horses, the geese, dodging occasional foxes. Descending to the garden, chatting over fences, cat meeting, tea-supping in the shed. Closing the true Warner green door, nipping via the overland, the V line, jogging to the marshes, on to Springfield, Clissold parks. Films, fruit and vegging on the high street, yearly trailing with the artists. No wish to be anywhere but local, just passing on this gem.
