Property description
York road is situated in the highly popular "COPPERMILL" location, an old village where the majority of the properties date to the late 19th century, it was all marsh area until the trains came and building began.
There is a lot of history in the area, one of the first flights took place on the marshes, and while on the subject of planes, the Luftwaffe took interest in the area and dropped a stick of bombs through the middle of about 4 streets, if you had a birds eye view above, you will see where there is a block of homes built after the war in a row, roughly through the middle of the local roads.
You have the marshes, acres and acres of conservation area, great walks, canals, you can actually walk to hackney in under 10 minutes. If you follow the canals you can walk or cycle into Hertfordshire, so (depending on our Great British weather) a fun day out exploring.
When it comes to transport links, I doubt you can argue how well connected you are, Blackhorse road tube on the Victoria line minutes up the road, as well as St James street, British Rail, fast links into Liverpool Street via Hackney. Down the road is Tottenham Hale, as well as Hackney.
Walthamstow Market is at the top of the road, the famous east end market, in fact the longest street market in Europe, outside stalls, lots of shops and a modern shopping centre, in fact quite a lot of new Bistro's and places to eat are dotted along the road as well.
What the Owner says:
Our house was completely renovated from top to bottom before we moved in, giving it a really nice Victorian feel.
We have a great size Lounge, a generous sized fitted kitchen, with doors that open on to the garden, which is really great in the summertime, especially for those family BBQ's.
The upstairs which is on 2 floors has a very large and beautiful 4 piece bathroom suite, we particularly love our roll top bath, great to relax in after those long days.
We have 3 bedrooms, all of which are doubles, which make this the perfect family home, we would not be moving if it were not for a job relocation, we will be very sad to leave.
