Property description
As you travel out of the seaside town of Shanklin, through the tree lined Victoria Avenue into a semi-rural location you will eventually come across this property, a delightful chalet style bungalow with a rear view to die for.
On the outskirts of town this detached property certainly holds a few surprises. Firstly, it is more spacious than it appears from the front. Secondly, the views from the rear over the luscious green rolling hills are certainly gorgeous, plus you have a gate from the bottom of your garden onto a footpath which links to the infamous Sunshine Trail with access back into Shanklin and as far reaching as Wroxall and Ventnor. And last but by no means least for those gardening enthusiasts, the rear garden is an ample size, full of mature fruit trees including apples, pears, plums and figs. Our current owners are also keen on growing their own vegetables with crops such as rhubarb, runner beans and tomatoes. This garden has so much more potential for you to create your own tranquil retreat.
The bungalow is very roomy as previously stated, with four usable bedrooms, the largest room enjoying the stunning downland views. As well as an ample sized lounge with patio doors out on to your garden, you also have a lovely dining room to accommodate all the family. And if you just wanted to sit and quietly have your breakfast, the conservatory is the perfect place to relax and admire your garden and the views.
What the Owner says:
When we were searching for our dream home over twelve years ago we viewed plenty of properties however this one certainly stood out. We wanted something with space inside and out and this ticked all the boxes. As you can imagine we fell in love with the view and with us being dog owners and liking our countryside walks you can appreciate that having direct access onto the footpath was a major selling point. The garden was perfect – as you can see we love growing our own crops and the freezer is always well stocked with our home grown produce. Unfortunately we are leaving our lovely home to move back to the mainland to be near our family and we hope the new owners can bring both the bungalow and the garden out to its full potential.
