Property description
This to be the ideal period house, if you’re looking for large family home or indeed if you have other family members living with you it’s sure to suit all your needs.
When you wander around the wonderful tall ceilings, sash windows and large rooms, gives you a feeling of light and space and certainly makes you feel there would be room for any furniture you could possibly want.
There is a choice of reception rooms, whether it’s for kids studies, a home office, dining or social space or games room. The centre of life here has to be the kitchen which is a hub for daily life and is accessed off the light and airy hall, with the other reception rooms close at hand. On the first floor there are six wonderful bedrooms with impressive bay windows which is a stunning feature to have and is sure to satisfy the most demanding of teenagers who could occupy the upstairs (top) bedrooms and is the perfect place to hide themselves away and listen to the latest rock bands.
With space for an en-suite which isn’t something the Victorians normally entertained the notion of, you could easily add one, there are lots of different areas that would suit or would have an impressive master suite and use one of the many bedrooms as an en-suite to service it.
The current vendors have accommodated for one of their daughter’s weddings and had a marquee in the garden managing to cater for over 80 people. But you don’t have to have that many people over, just because you can!
What the Owner says:
We liked this spot as you have a feeling or being tucked away but not remote, plus it’s a bit different and fitted the bill for us perfectly. It’s so big and with thick walls you aren’t really aware of any traffic when you’re inside the property. When you’re out in the garden, this wonderful well-proportioned garden has plenty of space for kids and for dogs to run around in and is safe and enclosed.
We wanted to consolidate the back of the house which had a patio and we thought the perfect way was for us to extend to the rear which makes it a really useful extra family room and living area for us all and is easily possible to separate into an annexed area to live in.
