Property description
Do you dream of a retreat where you can see the white cliffs at Alum Bay from your lounge window? The rolling lounge and rolling curves of Tennyson Downs and the Needles headland.? This is a unique chance to own a piece of the Islands history and enjoy one of the most famous land marks from your lounge window. The lounge/diner has plenty of room for a comfy sofa for relaxing and space for a dining table to gather round to plan the day ahead. The separate kitchen has modern units, plenty of space for storing supplies and downs view. Washing up will never be a chore again! After a day exploring the coloured sands of Alum Bay, have a wash off in the shower room, grab a glass of something cool and take a seat outside and watch the boats sail by while the sun sets across the Solent. The downstairs bedroom is a fantastic size with high ceilings and plenty of room for twin or even triple beds! Upstairs there is another bedroom with a sloping ceiling and a quirky window which catches the morning sunshine as it rises. A little door leads to an attic area - what could you do with it?! A private rear garden is a useful space to call your own and this property comes with use of the Headon Hall Estate, grab your walking boots and set out to explore all the delights that this area keeps hidden from the general public. A private car park for the cottages is also part of what's on offer. For those who want a weekend home then the ferry link to the mainland is only a few minutes drive away in the harbour town of Yarmouth, famous for its eateries and Old Gaffers Festival.
Please refer to the footnote regarding the services and appliances. What the Owner says:
I first spotted one cottage and fell in love with the charm, character and location, enjoying bringing family here and wandering around the estate and down to the beach.
As time went on I acquired three others along the row and they have been successfully let out providing a good income. Adding a few modern touches such as the facility to have broadband has just been the finishing touch. With Yarmouth only a few minutes by car its easy to get a ferry link to the mainland or just pop out for a good meal in a local pub.
