Property description

If you are looking for a ‘get-away-from-it-all’ holiday home then look no further! This cosy 2 bed chalet is off the beaten track, ensuring complete privacy, but has the added benefit of being only a short stroll from the fantastic Portavadie Marina and all the facilities that it has on offer. Completely freehold and set in good sized grounds, The Frond has been modernised recently with the multi-fuel stove in the sitting room a real stand out. Further, for the right offer all furniture will be included in the sale.

Portavadie is just a few short miles from the larger villages of Tighnabruaich and Kames, which are approximately 25 miles from Dunoon, the capital of Cowal. The magnificent, and ever expanding, Portavadie Marina and ferry to Tarbert are situated within minutes of The Frond and the wider area boasts many independent retailers, post offices, a bank, hotels, cafes, restaurants, a golf course, tennis court, children’s play area and sailing clubs. Ostel Bay, the glorious sandy beach is also within easy reach.

Directions
The Frond can be found on quiet country lane just after the junction for Portavadie Marina and the CalMac ferry to Tarbert. Instead of taking the cut off for the marina and ferry continue straight and carry on past several modern houses, then some traditional cottages. The chalet can be found on the right hand side towards the end of the lane.

Access
The Frond can be accessed by the pedestrian gate set just off the lane. Parking is available next to the gate. A pathway leads to the big solid wooden door which opens up to the hallway.

Hallway
The hallway has lino flooring, two ceiling lights, a good sized storage cupboard and provides access to the sitting room, both bedrooms and the shower room.

Sitting Room
4.78m x 4.31m
Modernised in recent times, the multi-fuel stove keeps the sitting room warm and cosy whilst the deep tartan carpet adds a touch of class. The dual aspect windows ensure that plenty of natural light streams in to both the seating area where the leather suites are situated and the dining area in the corner.

Kitchenette
3.39m x 1.25m
The compact kitchenette has windows to the side and rear with the sink under one of the windows and space for a table-top cooker, kettle, under-counter fridge etc at the other side.

Bedroom 1
3.61m x 3.38m (at widest points)
With partial views of the water at the marina this double room is a lovely room to waken up in before you set sail, go rambling or just put your feet up for the day. Carpet, ceiling lights and ample space for bedroom furniture.
