Property description
Built in 1791 to house the families of coast guards, this three bedroom end of terrace cottage sits on an elevated position over looking Telscombe Cliffs and with direct sea views. If you enjoy walking along the beach or cliff tops or a ramble over the downs then look no further both are within a few minutes walk and readily accessible.
Step inside this gloriously character filled cottage and you will immediately fall in love with its charm. Old and modern entwine with simplistic ease in this lovingly restored seaside home. High vaulted ceilings, stunning fire places and natural floor boards are just a few of the delightful character aspects of this stunning family home.
The kitchen is modern and bright with all the mod cons you would expect to find in a family home whilst still retaining character. The lounge is cosy and welcoming and imagine sitting by a roaring fire on a winters evening looking out to the rolling sea through the window.
The Mezzanine bedroom is long and luxurious with two beautiful Velux windows allowing you to enjoy the natural light and stunning sea views. Bedroom two comes with a stunning en-suite shower room and French doors to a decked area and gorgeous wrap around garden. The layout is flexible as the lounge can be made into a third bedroom.
Old meets new in glorious fashion and this is coastal living at its finest.
What the Owner says:
We fell in love with the place the moment we saw it, period features, a great location and those views were just what we were looking for.
The place is unrecognisable from when we moved in, this was a 3/4 bed and needed modernisation and we changed the layout to give 2 reception rooms. The layout is very flexible but 2 reception rooms were essential for us.
The garden was a real labour of love but it was worth the wait. Sitting on the front with a glass of wine watching the boats bob & wink by over your front wall is really special. The rear garden is a real pleasure now too and perfect for a spot of alfresco dining.
