Hagg Bridge House lies to the south east of York, within easy reach of the city and the market town of Pocklington. There are local facilities nearby in Pocklington but also in the villages of Elvington and Sutton upon Derwent. The latter has a pub, primary school, village hall, tennis club and post office.

Directions
From York take the B1228 through Elvington and Sutton upon Derwent. Proceed in the direction of Melbourne and before reaching the village the property will be found on the right hand side immediately after the Hagg Bridge which crosses the Pocklington canal.
