Property description
Located in the semi-rural village of South Chailey and surrounded by private gardens, which offer great privacy, this four bedroom detached house has a lot of space, being built circa 1965.
You will notice the property is tucked away from the road, behind grand entrance gates, so on walking through the gardens you will realise it's privacy. There is oil fired central heating and double glazing.
All the rooms are of excellent sizes and the sitting room has a cosy multi fuel burner where you can burn logs and coal. The oak panelled dining room is a wonderful surprise with a feature fireplace, making it a great place to entertain guests. Both of these rooms are duel aspect, making the space very light and airy.
The kitchen is well fitted with an adjacent breakfast area. It is most likely that this pleasant space will be where the family will congregate to share their news while the supper is being prepared. Light floods into the living space from the large conservatory, which provides a variety of uses. Perhaps you could use it as a hobby room or just a place to relax with a book.
All of the four bedrooms are double and three of them also have very handy built-in wardrobes. Bedroom one offers the added benefit of a wonderful en suite bathroom. It's size gives a real sense of luxury and invites you to close the door on the world and enjoy a long indulgent soak in the tub.
What the Owner says:
Situated close to the South Downs National Park, with easy access to London, there is also a good selection of schools and has the advantage of local amenities.
This home offers many very useful features such as parking for at least four cars and it has a quiet, private garden.
We have very much enjoyed living here over the years, it has been a truly delightful and eloquent house and home. We have enjoyed improving and enlarging the house and shall be sorry to leave, but it is only sensible now to downsize.
We shall certainly miss the ensuite, but this would make a wonderful dressing room plus ensuite. The P shape conservatory is a pleasure to use, and the electric garage door is so handy.
