Stamford Bridge is close by, with varied facilities, and Pocklington, home to the well regarded co-ed private school, is some 7 miles to the south east. The village lies within the catchment of the highly regarded Leavening Primary School and Huntington School and Sixth Form College in York. The Farmer’s Cart Farmshop with its excellent shop and café is within easy reach.
