Property description
It is rare to find a semi detached house with such stunning views so close to the amenities of a pretty village and with access to a main line railway station close by. This stunning cottage provides it all with a large rear garden and raised decking area which takes full advantage of the stunning views across the Finchdean Road to the Stanstead House Grounds. The village of Rowlands Castle with its beautiful central green and range of local shops and facilities providing for most of your daily requirements is only a short walk or drive away. In the other direction the charming village of Finchdean offers a friendly local pub and a feel of yesteryear with the village forge still active in the centre of the green and as many passing horses as cars on some days! If you can pull yourself away from the beautiful views then the interior of this cottage provides cosy and comforting retreat with many of the rooms enjoying a wood burning stove providing the ideal place to curl up with your favourite book or television programme.
The cottage style kitchen are perfect for a gathering with friends and family where you can chat, entertain and cook at ease.
Rarely available we would urge an early viewing to avoid disappointment.
What the Owner says:
We brought this home in 2000 and have really enjoyed it for the last 14 years, as soon as we saw it we fell in love with the wonderful views at the front of the property, looking over to Stanstead House grounds and it is so beautifully quiet here.
We wanted to move out of Portsmouth away from the hustle and bustle of city life and this home provided a real tonic for the end of the working week and to enjoy in the evenings no matter what the weather. We have loved sitting in the cosy interior with the wood burning stoves which are throughout the house and equally sitting on the decking area in the summer just watching the world go by. It was never our intention to sell but a change in circumstances now takes us down to Cornwall.
