Property description
With plenty of 1930's charm from the bay windows to the original doors this bungalow has a lovely homely feel as soon as you step inside. There is a good amount of living space, particularly with the addition of the conservatory so you can look forward to inviting the family over for regular get togethers.
With a good size kitchen/diner you can enjoy putting your cooking skills to the test as you have plenty of work top space.
For anyone who loves gardening you will be in your element here. Not only is there a large patio to sit outside and enjoy the views but there is also a lovely size garden where you can try your hand at growing your own vegetables. Your children/grandchildren will also love playing outside on the lawn.
This charming cul-de-sac location is a quiet retreat within River where you can easily walk to the nearby Primary School, Co-Op store, pubs, churches and pharmacy. If you enjoy walking, Kearsney Abbey is not far away, and you can get onto the hillsides which can take you to Church Hougham and beyond. Kearsney railway station is also nearby for anyone needing to commute and you also have good access to the A2/A20. For anyone that doesn't drive there is also a bus stop close by with a regular service to both Dover town and Canterbury. At the weekends why not take a walk to the scenic Water Mill where you can have a leisurely lunch.
What the Owner says:
I bought this bungalow 22 years ago and I have loved living here. The road is nice and quiet and the neighbours are all lovely.
I spend a lot of time in the kitchen/diner where there is plenty of room for family and friends to visit.
Having the fixed staircase to the loft room makes it easy to use this space for storage. I did previously have planning permission to convert the loft room to a bedroom and en-suite. The planning has since expired but the fact that it has been consented to previously may be a good indication that it could be passed again. Plans are available to see if anyone is interested.
