Property description
Available for sale with no onward chain is this beautiful period house, full of character and ideally located on Ramsgate's oldest road in the heart of the Westcliff. Within a short walk of the front door is the Temple Yacht Club and the Royal Harbour with its vibrant café culture, and the seafront at the end of the road. Ramsgate town centre and Waitrose are a short walk away.
This conservation area, full of charm and history with its Georgian squares and terraces and a connection with the Napoleonic wars, is now the centre of a blossoming arts community. Addington Street is a mix of residential and former shop properties, including artists’ studios and independent shops. Every summer it hosts the Historical Street Fair, popular with locals and visitors alike. This property itself, formerly a grocer’s, a draper’s, a cobbler’s, and an artist’s workshop, has complete historical records since 1818.The property has plenty of living space set over four floors with four reception rooms on the two lower floors as well as two bathrooms. On the upper floors there are four bedrooms, all of which are a good size, so there is plenty of space for any growing family. The property has its own courtyard garden, dominated by a spectacular blossoming cherry, so you can enjoy alfresco dining in warmer months. There is also loads of potential to run a business here as the property was once a shop on the ground floor; the property is now freehold for residential use. Viewing is strongly advised!

We have owned this property for the last 8 years and moved here from Surrey. We simply loved Ramsgate's Westcliff with its scenic clifftop.
The Royal Harbour is lovely and this is the centre of an arts community here.
We have always maintained the property well but have now decided to sell the property chain free as we have already moved to another house locally.
