Property description

\" A rich, genuine vibe of goodwill

and gentleness is why people

come from all over the world

to Shambhala\" - Vogue Magazine

Shambhala has been a successful Healing Retreat and Bed and Breakfast for over thirty years. This impressive south facing property is extremely well suited for this purpose, but would equally make a very comfortable family home. Arranged over three floors, with the addition of further garden rooms, the property offers spacious and flexible accommodation. In the main house there is a sitting room, large dining room, kitchen, study and four bedrooms, plus the beautiful first floor meditation room, four bath/shower rooms, utility and a large entrance porch. The lovingly tended gardens are divided into separate themed areas and include a waterfall and Koi Carp pond, a labyrinth and the focus of Shambhala, a beautiful inlaid Crystal Star.

Owners Comment *

'Glastonbury Tor is a powerful Living Temple and is known all over the World. A spectacular hill, rising majestically from the Somerset levels, this ancient sacred place of power is a spiritual centre of global significance. A Place of Pilgrimage. People come to discover, to explore and to heal, seeking to feel the deep peace and Joy of the Heart and Soul. Shambhala is known for the powerful sacred energies of the land emanating from the Tor. The Mary Ley Line runs from the top of the Tor through the house and gardens, creating a warm welcoming feeling. The focus of Shambhala is a beautiful Star of hundreds of clear crystal points. Many experience the healing energies from the Star and from the Ley Line through the earth, the rock, the water and the trees. White peace doves have a home in the Labyrinth garden and the whole garden is incredibly alive and vibrant. The sound of the flowing waterfall into the Pond of Koi Carp is wonderfully soothing at night, as is the soft sound of the fountain on the front patio.

Shambhala is the Heart of Hearts, a Resting Place for the weary of Soul, Spirit and Body. A Healing Centre, a Place of Joy where all Hearts can meet and mend. This could very well be the very special Glastonbury property that you have been dreaming of.’
