Property description
What a fantastic family home. There are large rooms, plenty of parking and a huge garden, as well as scope to extend and grow into should the need arise, subject to the necessary consents and permissions of course.
A lovely big kitchen has plenty of space for a farmhouse table and has all the hallmarks of a space that has become the heart of the home. Set the table up for the children’s tea whilst you watch them burn off all that energy through the open door to the garden. The dining room next door is perfect for more formal occasions and big enough with its lovely large bay window to stage a grand Christmas feast for all the family.
The living room is a beautiful room flooded with light from large double glazed windows on three sides. With the door open to the garden in Summer and the fire in the stove in winter this is a wonderful room to relax in- especially if you can keep the toys out by turning the study into a play room (cloakroom just across the hall), or keep your better half out by turning the playroom back to a study!
You didn’t get en-suites in the 60’s but you did get four good size bedrooms, so no one need be disappointed and the master bedroom is fabulous.
The village has a lot going on, a well regarded primary school and plenty of amenities, shops and pubs. The A21 is so handy and with three even four stations to London nearby you will love the commute.
What the Owner says:
We adore this quiet semi rural location, not just because of the wonderful countryside on our doorstep but also because of the fabulous neighbours who have become great friends and most of whom have loved living here so much that they have done so for many, many years.
We love the view over the Medway Valley and on a clear day you can see all the way over to the North Downs. Beautiful, traditional Kentish orchards surround us.
The garden has been an absolute joy and we would love to see keen gardeners and a young family make the most of it.
We like being on the outskirts of the village. You can walk in often accompanied by horse riders and ramblers and the sounds and sights of the wildlife in the trees and hedgerow.
