About the Location
Prior to 1758, Heaton Chapel did not exist but was part of Heaton Norris. The need for a chapel was identified in a church survey around 1655, but it was a further hundred years before Mr A. Colier raised money by public subscription and Mr Sidebotham petitioned the Bishop of Chester for a license to worship in 1758. The Church was built on a field known as Yarn Croft in plain brick, with three rounded windows on the North side and three on the South side.

Today as part of the affluent Four Heatons, Heaton Chapel is a thriving village with charm and character, boasting an eclectic past which also includes the origins of the McVities biscuit empire in 1918 and a visit to the Poco-a-Poco Club by David Bowie in 1970.

Our development, on Nelstrop Road, is ideally located in a quiet secluded area, yet is within easy walking distance of a good selection of local independent shops. Just down the road is Heaton Moor where you can enjoy the samples of Bistros, Delicatessens and Coffee Shops as well as a monthly Local Producers Market, where stallholders from the local & surrounding area offer a wide range of products, including fresh produce, gift items & crafts.

If you enjoy the outdoors there are several local parks within walking distance including Heaton Moor Park boasting two Crown Green bowling greens and South Reddish Park to the east.

And a short drive away is Reddish Vale Country Park, a beautiful natural landscape covering over 160 hectares around the Tame River Valley and filled with a diverse range of trees, plants and wildlife, whilst golf enthusiasts can enjoy a round on the 18 hole course at nearby Heaton Moor Golf Club.

For those looking to travel further afield, Heaton Chapel offers excellent train links to close by Stockport and Manchester and has easy access to the M6 motorway and Manchester Airport.
