Property description

29 Whistlefield Lodges is a two bedroom timber chalet set in an elevated position within the quiet and well maintained site in the heart of the beautiful countryside of Argyll just a stone’s throw away from stunning Loch Eck. The freehold accommodation has recently been modernised and extended and consists of open plan living / dining / kitchen area, two double bedrooms, shower room and large decked area accessed through the French doors in the living room. Fully furnished, set in an idyllic location, and with the famous Whistlefield Inn on the doorstep, this would make an ideal holiday retreat.

Access
Approximately 11 miles from Dunoon, on the main road (A815) take the ‘Ardentinny’ road at the Whistlefield Inn, drive up the hill round the top of the inn and veer to the right to join the site. No 29 can be found along the top row of lodges. Parking can either be in front or to the side of these lodges.

Entrance
Accessed from the road at the rear of the property through a gated decked area which flows round to the front of the lodge. French doors open up to reveal the sitting room. The stunning views are evident as soon as you reach the front of the property.

Sitting Room / Kitchen
6.3m x 3.8m
From the sitting room section of the lodge you have beautiful views of the hills and countryside beyond Loch Eck, with partial views of the loch itself through the French doors, which open up to the decking area. Like the rest of the chalet the sitting room has been tastefully decorated recently and is now a comfortable and cosy place to sit and relax. A feature fireplace with wooden surround and stove-effect electric fire adds a focal point to the room and the tartan carpet adds a touch of class. Although plenty of natural light beams in through the large doors and windows there are also ceiling lights for the cosy nights.

The kitchen and sitting room are divided by a handy breakfast bar – perfect for having a coffee and reading the morning paper.

The well thought out kitchen has been fitted with modern white wall and base units with contrasting wooden worktops. It has an electric cooker with hob and extractor, is plumbed for a washing machine and there is plenty of space for white goods. Partially tiled walls. Window to the rear.

Bedroom 1
3.5m x 3.5m
Double room at the front of the chalet overlooking the decking and the fabulous views on offer through the large windows. The room is carpeted, has a ceiling light, wall mounted TV and ample space for bedroom furniture. A lovely room, with an even better view, to waken up in.

Bedroom 2
2.8m x 2.5m
Slightly smaller than Bedroom 1 but still a double. At the rear of the property.  Carpet, radiator, ceiling light. Partial wood panelling.

Shower Room
1.7m x 2m
Like the rest of the property the shower room has been tastefully decorated recently. New white suite comprising WC and wash hand basin and separate walk-in shower.  The room also benefits by having a heated towel rail, fully tiled walls, wall mirror and cupboard. Two opaque windows allow natural light to come in.

Outdoors
The current owners have spared no expense on the outside having a large, fully fenced and gated, decking area installed – perfect for enjoying the vista on those summer evenings. The decking extends to the side and rear of the property. Further, a storage shed has been built on the side of the lodge in keeping with the style of the main property. A mixture of lawn, trees, shrubs and flowers envelop the chalet ensuring the surrounding area is aesthetically pleasing. Outside lighting has also been installed.

Parking
There is a car park, suitable for several cars, at the front of the row of lodges and further parking to the side.

Site Fees
The site fees are £50 per month and this covers general site maintenance as well as the charge for the septic tank, which is communal.

Other
The vendors are happy to leave all fixtures, fittings and furnishings with the exception of personal items.
