Although we were downsizing we didn't want a place that left us feeling as though we were living on top of each other. The garage and parking were also a big bonus for us and very handy for when we came home laden with shopping bags. It's a very light and sunny home and we have kept the bungalow up together and feeling modern. Everything we need is nearby for daily life including the shops, transport links to the mainland, and the beaches are also within easy reach.
