Property description

If you are looking for a home which has a cosy cottage feel, but you have a limited budget, then we could have the one for you. It is set well back from the main road and has the added benefit of not being overlooked, giving it a real feeling of seclusion.

They say that when you buy a property it is all about the location, well this lovely home has everything on its doorstep. You can stroll to the local pub, walk to the seafront or amble along the Royal Military Canal. If you enjoy eating out you will be spoilt for choice, as there is a great selection of restaurants and coffee shops in the centre of town. Hythe also has a wide range of independent shops and supermarkets, including a Waitrose and a Sainsburys.

The modern kitchen/diner has enough work surface for all of today’s kitchen gadgets and the sink is perfectly placed by the window, which will give you a wonderful outlook over the garden whilst you are washing up.

Now for the beautiful gardens, which is where this home really comes alive. The current owners have put a lot of time and care into selecting all the plants that are on display, and tucked away at the end of the garden there are some beds that have been saved for growing vegetables, so you could pick your own fresh vegetables for dinner. There is also a large timber shed that has been adapted into a workshop, so if you are looking for somewhere to tinker away the hours, then this will be perfect.

What the Owner says:

I have lived here for eighteen very happy years and in that time I have updated my home and turned it into the treasure that it is today.

I have had the windows replaced, re-fitted the bathroom, re-plastered upstairs and built a utility room on the back of the house, which has been fantastic for storage and has given me somewhere to put the washing machine. To help keep the house warm in the winter I have had cavity wall insulation installed, which should help to reduce the heating bills.
