* What The Owners Say

We have enjoyed living in this house for many years. We have watched our children grow up, playing in the garden, or the local parks and walking in Hollingbury Woods. We moved here when they were starting school because of the great choices in the local area – everything is literally on the doorstep from nurseries, a choice of secondary schools and even a VI Form College. The road itself is very popular with families and supports a vibrant, sociable community, which has made being here a very special and friendly experience. The Hollingbury Park Avenue Street Party and Quiz nights are legendary (well, at least in Fiveways)! We knew this house before we bought it. It was built in 1905 and still retains many of its original features, including the dumbwaiter - so your staff can send up afternoon tea to the drawing room or you can take breakfast on the balcony and watch the sun rise over the golf course. We have added the top floor bedroom and bathroom but we never got round to completing our plans to open up the large unused space on the ground floor - probably spent too much time in the bath watching the clouds and seagulls overhead. If ever you do get cabin fever there are coffee shops, restaurants and award winning gastro pubs all within a short walk, as well as the excellent local shops – we still have the butcher and the baker but not the candlestick maker, although you can buy decorative candles at Living at Five Ways. The brief walk to London Road station also makes commuting an easy option. The seafront and town centre are well served by buses that run every ten minutes. So why would we leave this magical place? It is simply too big for two of us.
