Property description

This two bedroom, semi-detached bungalow in Stoke Golding is a bit of a rare find.

They dont come up for sale very often, so if you are looking for a home in a lovely village, that has a thriving community offering activities to appeal to all tastes, then this is definitely worth coming to have a look at.

Its surprisingly roomy with all the accommodation to the ground floor (no dormas here – its a proper bungalow!

The generous lounge has a striking fireplace and leads to the kitchen and lean-to conservatory.

There are two double bedrooms with bow windows to the front of the property.

The gardens to front and rear are both paved with flower beds for easy maintenance and there is a single garage with a carport and parking for a couple of cars.

It would be fair to say that the property is on the dated side. I’m sure most would want to update both the kitchen and bathroom, but it wouldn’t take a lot to really bring this place up to date. Overall this has the makings of being a really pleasant home.

If you don’t know the area, Stoke Golding is a village and civil parish in the Hinckley and Bosworth district of Leicestershire. It lies to the South West of Leicestershire, close to the Warwickshire border and is about three miles north-west of the market town of Hinckley.

As you drive through this well regarded village you can see a lovely mix of modern and traditional style properties – the overwhelming feeling is that the properties and gardens are well cared for and people take a sense of pride in the village and their environment generally.

One lady I spoke to described it as a “warm, welcoming, delightful place to live, where people are friendly and will stop to say hello”

What’s more, if you like your history this village has an interesting ‘claim to fame’! - It is apparently the “Birthplace of the Tudor Dynasty”

It is reported that in 1485 the people of the village witnessed the coronation of the first Tudor monarch, Henry VII after he defeated the last of the Plantagenets, King Richard III, at the Battle of Bosworth.

The village boasts three pubs and the Stoke Golding Club, a village shop, two schools and three churches. The canal is nearby and there are other lovely walks to enjoy. It really is a lovely place to be.

If this sounds like the sort of place that you would like to live, then please contact Clare Bonwick on 07799072756 or 01788 220162 for more information.
