The village also has a railway station with trains every hour to both Barnstaple and Exeter. In the village stands an ancient granite cross which is mentioned in a Saxon charter of the year 974. This cross is virtually in the centre of the County.
DIRECTIONS Approaching Copplestone from Crediton, proceed down into the village and turn right at the stone cross just in front of the post office, into Bewsley Hill.
