Property description
Chantry Court is a popular retirement community located right in the centre of Canterbury. Because it is so central, you really can enjoy a great lifestyle living here! It’s only 0.3 miles from Canterbury West Station, meaning you could hop on the hi-speed train link into London or get the Eurostar from Ashford International.
Canterbury itself is a World Heritage site and has plenty on offer in the way of shopping, restaurants, coffee shops and bars. You might even want to pop down to the Marlowe and watch a show.
Chantry Court has lots to offer to a prospective buyer. There is a House Manager on site, communal lounge area as well as a communal laundry area. There’s a guest room which is available for visitors to book for £12 per night for 2 people, £8 per night for a single person, this could be great if family or friends want to stop over. Parking is available on a first come, first served basis. If there is a parking space available then you are able to reserve this and then rent it for £5 a week until you no longer wish to use it.
The apartment itself has its own front door with stairs going up, but the current owner uses a stair lift here to get up to the living accommodation with no problem. There is a nice bright lounge, kitchen, shower room and bedroom. It is being offered for sale with no onward chain complications.
What the Owner says:
I have lived here really happily for the last 3 years and am only selling because I am going back to my home country of Ireland. I chose this particular apartment as it has its own front door and the stairway, which makes it feel very private. It really is lovely sitting in the lounge here as it gets lots of sun and you can even see the Cathedral too! Being in Chantry Court really feels like being part of a community and it’s such a comfort having the emergency cords around the apartment. It means if anything happens then I simply pull the cord and help is immediate. The other great thing about living here is the location. It’s walking distance for Sainsburys and the City centre. There are lovely walks along the river and some really nice pubs nearby for lunch.
