Property description
This spacious family home was refurbished and enlarged during 2012 and is situated in a pleasant cul-de-sac location within the desirable area of South Woodford.
The sitting room is a most spacious room, ideal for entertaining friends and family, with double doors that open directly to the garden, therefore during the summer months guests can easily flow between the home and the garden.
Busy family life revolves around the kitchen and dining areas with an archway linking the two areas together, so the family can come together for cooking, eating and relaxing around the table to chat about the days events.
For the younger members of the family they have their own space, being the family/television room, where they can watch television or play on their Wii/Xbox machine, leaving the adults to escape to the sitting room where they can relax and entertain.
The five bedrooms, arranged over two floors make easy work of accommodating a growing family and with two bathrooms, a wet room and a bathroom/wet room there shouldn’t be too many arguments as to who will use the bathroom first when getting ready for the working/school day.
What the Owner says:
We had previously lived in two properties within South Woodford, one of which was in Meadow Walk so we knew the area really well, hence wanting to stay in the area for a third house purchase.
The plot was originally occupied by a bungalow that was in need of renovating, this did not phase us as we could see the potential to create a home to our own design.
We ended up taking on this project and rented a flat nearby as it took a considerable amount of time and expenditure to achieve the final result.
We added a first and second floor to the property as well as a side extension, whilst refurbishing the original part of the bungalow. We have been extremely pleased with the outcome and the house has proven to be everything we thought it would be and more.
We have bought up our family in this area, access to local shops in South Woodford and Wanstead along with access to Central London has been the biggest advantage for us. We are only 0.5 miles from Snaresbrook tube station and 0.9 miles from Forest School, so our daughter has been able to walk to school.
