Property description
An unusual, character filled home in the semi rural location of Graveney, on the outskirts of Faversham.
Upon entering, you will sense the charm and history this property retains. The spectacular inglenook fireplace is a real feature along with the beamed ceilings throughout many of the rooms.
The owners have sympathetically restored and improved this Grade II listed home over the years which now includes a self contained potential studio/office annexe, formerly the old Post Office shop. The versatile layout is set over 3 floors including a cellar. The master bedroom has a full en-suite bathroom and inglenook. The bedrooms are of double proportions and there is a further en-suite bedroom and, yet another, inglenook fireplace. All the fireplaces retain their original features.
Through the stable door of the kitchen, you go out into the secluded "sun trap" courtyard.
There are countryside views from the windows around the house. There is ample frontage too including driveway parking and a garage.
A really unique home that is one not to miss so give us a call to arrange your viewing.
What the Owner says:
We viewed this rare and unique 1700's former Post Office and house, so full of history, with is charm and character, wealth of beams and inglenooks and could not wait to move in. The self contained annexe is spacious, light and airy - an ideal office or studio. There is plenty of off road parking too. The sun trap garden is tranquil and the fragrance of ripening strawberries is carried in on the breeze. Countryside walks are just outside our door and the beach, minutes away.
After 10 years the children have flown and the house is too large but we love the community and will relocate in the vicinity. This house is a delightful, relaxing home. They do not build houses like this anymore!
