Property description
Character, space and light are the three words that best describe this property!
Step inside the spacious hallway with an original Victorian dresser and it will immediately set the tone for the rest of the house. The lounge continues these themes with a stunning fire place, original stripped floor boards and an abundance of light which floods in via the large bay window. The lounge area opens into the dining area which provides plenty of room to entertain and with ample space for the children to run around in.
The kitchen/diner is again an excellent space which has a range of attractive solid wood units and work surfaces which are in keeping with the age of the house. There is an original box bay window to the dining area, over-looking a beautiful courtyard garden, which extends to a lawned area at the rear of the house. This room is ideal for family meals or a leisurely breakfast as you can still chat with the cook as you sit around the table.
Upstairs bedroom one is a stunning size and the large bay window has beautiful views over Wimbledon Park. There is yet more character with several rooms having original fire places. There is a shower room on the second floor in addition to a ground floor bathroom and a stunning family bathroom on the first floor, which means you never need to fight over the bathroom ever again!
What the Owner says:
We bought Shirley Road about seven years ago now and it’s been a lovely family home. We completely fell in love with the location, it was the perfect spot for us.
Everything that we needed was just so close by, be it schools, parks, shops or the beautiful seafront. All is either a short walk or easily accessible by car.
We have completely refurbished the house and garden, so the next owners will be able to move straight in with very little work to do.
