Bath and Bristol are both about 20 miles away and the nearest main line rail is at Castle Cary 15 miles south. Bristol International Airport is 20 minutes (12 miles) away. Also the village and surrounding areas have a very active community and many events. There is an annual sheep fair dating back to 1348, a spring folk festival, caving and several village green fetes.
