Property description
Drive through the electric gates and up the sweeping drive and you are greeted with the impressive sight of this mammoth detached farmhouse. Pull onto your driveway next to the detached double garage and enter through the main door. Straight away you are taken aback by the sheer amount of space on offer. The spacious entrance hall draws you in and directs you to the heart of the home. Custom built by the designer Loxley, this kitchen area is designed to take your breath away with solid granite worktops. Superbly maintained and with an Aga, what an absolute treat to let your culinary dreams run wild! The boot room is the perfect place to get the wellies off and dry the dog when you come back from a lovely walk through the surrounding countryside. Or relax on a crisp evening in the large lounge,. The only dilemma that you will face is which inglenook fireplace to light…. or both!
Upstairs you are just spoilt for choice. Which bedroom shall you claim? Do you go for the one with the hidden en-suite, with gleaming black tiles and huge bath or the one with the inglenook fireplace? Alternatively you could use the whole of the second floor for yourself, which would also make a perfect teenagers retreat.
Enjoy the majesty of your garden. A pond, decking, patio and large lawn allow you to have perfect outside space for entertaining. There is also a separate paddock available if required.
What the Owner says:
When we were looking for our home we had quite a distinct idea of what we wanted, and as soon as we saw this we knew. The downstairs space was so important for us and the lounge fit the bill perfectly. Having family around for parties and special occasions is so much easier with a formal dining room. It also has parquet flooring!
We are in a secluded position, surrounded by fields, streams, and loads of wildlife but within walking distance of the mainline rail station and with easy access to a large range of schools. All in all this has been the perfect family home but it is time we moved on and said good-bye. It will be such a sad moment but we will cherish all our memories.
