You will be able to cook delicious meals in the modern kitchen with its range of integrated appliances and offer excellent wines you have stored in the temperature controlled wine cellar on the lower ground floor, adjacent to the double garage and workshop.
As is that was not all, there is also a beautiful self-contained annexe with its own courtyard. It includes a charming kitchen/sitting room, bedroom and bathroom with two sets of double doors onto the lower terrace. It would be ideal as a holiday let or for relatives.
What the Owner says:
“We bought this house when it was new and have thoroughly enjoyed living here for the past ten years. We have made sure the garden was very easy to maintain so we could relax in the sunshine. However, we love the space the house provides so we can entertain friends and family on a regular basis. We are very fond of the village with its shops, pubs and restaurants and have decided to build a new house in St Margaret’s but more suited to our future needs.
It is delightful being able to walk or cycle into Dover, Kingsdown or Deal or along to The Saxon Trail and we can wander down to the Coastguard pub on the beach for a drink or a meal. It is here where Noel Coward had a house (White Cliffs Cottage) and Ian Fleming was a regular visitor. In fact the ‘007’ for James Bond was apparently based on the number 007 National Express bus to Canterbury.
The area is so quiet and peaceful. There is only a pathway up to the famous South Foreland lighthouse – the first lighthouse in the world to have electric light. The trees are a delight throughout the year and we take great pleasure in sitting on the terrace watching the changing colours as the year progresses.”
