Property description

If you are looking for a home that is simply 'oozing' character, steeped in history and with possibly some of the best views you can find across Romney Marsh, then you really need to down tools and come along and check out this property at St. Mary in the Marsh!

You can relax in the garden and in the evening experience the beautiful sunset lighting up the sky over the fields and if you enjoy entertaining then you won't find a better backdrop for your guests. Alternatively, take a stroll along to the Star Pub to sample the ales and catch up with the locals on the day's events.

Walk through the door of this property and you are greeted by an impressive dining hall with a library, a vaulted ceiling, Gothic chandelier and open galleried landing. The character and charm of the house is spectacular. Exposed beams abound and once upstairs the sitting room is guaranteed to take your breath away with it's beautiful uninterrupted views across open countryside and unspoilt view to the 14th centaury church of St. Mary the Virgin.

Imagine sitting around a log burner on a chilly winters evening with the aroma of wood smoke and the flicker of the flames in the grate. What better way to relax and unwind after a day at work.

There is a lot more to tell you about this wonderful property, however the best thing to do is come along and see it for yourself, you won't be disappointed!

What the Owner says:

When we were looking for a property we were after something unusual that stood out from the rest, so when we came across this old school dating from 1871, we immediately fell in love with it and knew it was the home for us. 20 Years later we still love the peace and tranquillity and the little things like watching the hares box in the field opposite. But with all 3 children now having flown the nest it's time to move on, however, we know that whoever moves into this property, will enjoy life here as much as we have!
