Property description
A spacious detached house standing in approximately half an acre of level garden, situated on the rural outskirts of Newton Poppleford in an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Knowle Cottage is a detached house, formerly two cottages and now offering accommodation arranged over two floors and briefly comprising five bedrooms, three reception rooms and two kitchens. The property's arrangement at present would suit those looking for a home with a separate granny annexe, or a home with income. Alternatively a new owner could re-model the property, incorporating the separate rooms and the outside stores into the main body of the house, subject to any necessary consents. The property features two inglenook fireplaces, timber multi-pane windows and some fine views of the surrounding area.
The property stands in approximately half an acre of level, lawn gardens, with ample off road parking and a single garage. There are also two further brick built stores, vegetable plots and a greenhouse. The gardens to the side and rear offer a good degree of privacy, there are no near neighbours in view and there is the benefit of a southerly aspect. The property is situated on the eastern outskirts of Newton Poppleford, in a quiet location in an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty, within a short drive from the centre of the village. The M5 motorway junction at Exeter is a little over seven miles to the east, whilst the Regency coastal town of Sidmouth, with its broad range of amenities, independent shops and Waitrose Supermarket is approximately five miles to the west. Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth, Ottery St Mary and Honiton are all within a reasonable distance.
DIRECTIONS
From our office on the High Street in Sidmouth leave Sidmouth town via the B3176 Station Road to join the A3052 towards Exeter. Drive through the village of Newton Poppleford and at the roundabout junction, take the second exit onto Sidmouth Road, towards Exeter. A little over half a mile along the road slow down and take a sharp left as you begin to rise up the hill and follow this lane and after a short distance the entrance to the property will be seen on the left hand side.
