Property description

Sat high and mightily and enjoying a splendid outlook is a versatile detached home which has been the pride and joy of the current owners for many years now.

The large hall sets the tone for the remainder of the home.

A large lounge area/dining area has more than enough space for a few sofas as well as room for a large dining table: all the family can gather round here. Large windows to the front give a splendid view and a glimpse of the Bluebell Railway can be gained if you look hard enough.

The master bedroom enjoys the same outlook as well as benefiting from a large dressing room or office space. The walk in wet room is very nice and the shower will invigorate the senses making you ready for the day ahead, as will a coffee made in the confines of the kitchen/breakfast room, which no doubt has many stories. How welcome it is to be able to eat in here too.

Two bedrooms on the ground floor offer plenty of flexibility and do not need to be used for slumber.

Two further bedrooms on the first floor could be used as guest rooms. One bedroom has a cloakroom too. A huge eaves store cupboard needs to be seen to be believed.

The rear garden is perfect sanctuary for a nice cold glass of something and too, enjoys a splendid view.

A garage, car port and off road parking can be found at street level.

The town, mainline train station and the countryside can all be reached on foot. Thus enhancing this setting.

What the Owner says:

At the outset, our enthusiasm for this fine dwelling was primed by its location – on the edge of town, overlooking countryside and within easy reach of town centre and station. Our ‘viewing’ showed a home filled with light through large picture windows and generous sized rooms including a kitchen large enough for our family of four to eat together. We scraped together the £43,000 to buy our new home!
That was in 1981, thirty four years ago, and we have been very happy here. We shall be sorry to leave but the time has come.
