We spent a couple of years extending the house to become the beautiful home it is today and have thoroughly enjoyed living here for the past 10 years, however we have decided it is time to move nearer to our family. Over the years we have been able to host some memorable parties and regularly entertain our friends and family at dinners and barbecues and, because it is such a peaceful and safe area, even our garden attracts a variety of wildlife including birds, squirrels, foxes and hedgehogs. We love the fact we are only about three minutes’ walk from the cliff top and yet not far from the town centre or the fabulous Minnis Bay with its vast sandy beaches. Birchington, with its variety of individual shops, restaurants, pubs and main-line station, is only about five minutes’ walk away and provides everything we want for our daily needs. Everyone is very friendly and helpful whether it is the local shopkeeper’s or even the bank staff. At the same time it is not far to Westwood Cross and the Thanet Way for easy access to Canterbury and London. We even have a bowls club and a tennis club virtually on the doorstep and it is a great area for walking and cycling.”
