Property description

Individually designed Art Deco detached residence in sought after position just minutes from sandy beaches, town centre and train station.
This beautiful art deco home is situated in The Drive, a private road which is located just off the ever popular Callis Court Road, Broadstairs. As soon as you walk through the threshold of this imposing property you start to realise the space this family home has to offer. A bright and welcoming entrance hall gives access to principle rooms and feature curved doors lead to the modern kitchen/breakfast room with its picture window overlooking the large conservatory which enjoys views across the secluded and easy-to-maintain rear garden. The large front aspect family room is the ideal place where everyone can watch TV or sit around the marble-style fireplace. This can also open up to the stunning games room which boasts a full-size snooker table and an excellent bar and is adjacent to the vast drawing room with its art deco- style fireplace, wall of windows and French doors which open out into the rear garden. The rooms are well laid out and flow through to each other so you could hold a party for any number of guests and it would still not look crowded. There is also a good sized attractive dining room for more formal occasions. The bright and airy landing has doors leading to all rooms including the family bathroom and five bedrooms including the master, with its stunning art-deco style bathroom and doors leading out into the large balcony above the snooker room. Every room has lovely views either across the adjacent park with its rugby club and tennis courts or into the private rear garden with its tree lined perimeter.

The property sits on a generous plot and in addition to the good sized rear garden there is an enclosed easy to maintain front garden which is accessed via patio doors from the family room. Further brick built outbuildings offer workshop or storage space and there is a large double garage accessed via the sweeping gravelled driveway to the front. Other benefits include double glazing and gas central heating.

What the owners say.
'The house has been a wonderful family home for the past 20 years but, now the children are 'flying the nest', we are moving to somewhere a little smaller. During the time we have lived here we have enjoyed throwing plenty of parties and even had our wedding here. We put two large marquees in the garden and there was still plenty of room. Being down a long drive, away from the road, it is so quiet and peaceful that we can sit in the garden and listen to the parakeets, relax in the sunshine or enjoy a barbecue. You can follow the sun all day as the gardens are very private and south-facing, while the double garage and large gravelled driveway provide plenty of space for a number of vehicles. There are also a couple of brick buildings that we use for storage but they could be converted to additional rooms as they have plumbing and electricity. It is an ideal spot for families as it is easy for children to walk to the local schools and you always can join the rugby and tennis club next door. We are not far either from Viking and Stone Bay for a day on the beach'.
