Property description

This is a superb example of a Victorian home set out over four levels which gives great family accommodation with versatile space. There are 3 reception rooms, so perfect if you work from home and are looking for a study! The layout also means that all the rooms are an impressive size. You can entertain friends in the lounge, with the large windows and a roaring fireplace, or cook up a feast for the family in the uniquely designed kitchen with central island. Perhaps you are preparing a more formal dinner? Again, this house will not disappoint as you have a separate dining area ready for your turn to host the dinner party! There are some great original features here with the fireplaces and ceiling details that a fan of this period will enjoy and the house feels incredibly light and bright with the large bay windows and clever "Velux" style windows on the top floor flooding light down through the stairway.

The rear garden is also a treat; it certainly trumps many others in such a central location. Being such a good size, it would be perfect for those that wish to use it as separate areas, so keep your lawn fresh, set up for this year’s BBQ season and get ready to start planting your very own vegetable patch – there is space for all of that!

The location is superb – commuters will be incredibly thankful for the short walk up the road to the railway station and the town centre and local schools are also very close for the rest of the family.

What the Owner says:

This house has been the perfect home for our family for many years but the time has come to down size.

The kitchen is the real hub of the house and, with the utility areas and downstairs cloakroom as well as access to the garden, this is where we spent most of our time, particularly when the children were young. Having the family bathroom as well as the shower room next to the main bedroom upstairs is great too.

We could not have wanted for a better position than this house – it is perfect when you need the station which is literally just up the road and we always walk into town, which is a short stroll so the car often stays at home!
